CDA Career Pathway Program

New Genesis offers a Child Development Associate (CDA) training program for adults who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. Funded by the City of Kalamazoo, this career pathway program combines coursework, coaching, on-the-job training, and learning assessments to support participants in earning a nationally recognized CDA credential in early childhood education.

 

Participants receive wrap-around supports, including stipends, counseling, mentorship, and job placement assistance. Clinical training takes place at the New Genesis Learning Center, providing hands-on experience in a real childcare setting. Upon completion, participants are prepared for employment in early childhood education, with opportunities for continued education and long-term career advancement.
