Who We Are
New Genesis, Incorporated was originally
established in 1981 as an outreach ministry of Christian Life
Center. The organization provided a women’s center, which focused on
adult and youth counseling and employment skills training for
several years, and later disbanded in order to reorganize the
delivery of services to more effectively meet community needs. In
October 1999 a community needs assessment was conducted with the
residents on the north side of Kalamazoo to determine perceived
family and community needs.
As a direct result of expressed community needs, Project Impact was
created. Project Impact provides a multitude of programs and
services like our comprehensive New Genesis Success Academy, Impact
Mentoring program, Youth Sports program, community pantries, a
computer technology center, parent & adult support service and a
licensed daycare.
All programs and services with
the exception of our child care facility, are housed in our fifty
thousand square foot facility located at 1340 Cobb Ave. in Kalamazoo
Michigan.
